This letter is to nominate members of our chamber, Gina and Tommy Giordano of Cafe Spiga, a family owned Italian restaurant in Mount Sinai, for Member of the Year.
They have been a pillar of the community by supporting the school district,community organizations and the chamber. They have supported our new chamber by donating expansive buffets for our first three general meetings when we were just getting off the ground. Their support brought our new members together with food and beverages which gave everyone the opportunity to relax, network and attract more new members.
The Mount Sinai Miller Place Chamber Alliance (MSMPCA) is in its first months had very few members and needed a venue for a network meeting. Cafe Spiga generously offered their dining room up for us to host our meetings. This most likely took space from their regular dinner crowd, yet they were happy, generous and gracious to all who attended. They donated an unbelievable, large and delicious buffet each time. They displayed support for our chamber and helped to make a great impression on possible future chamber members. At a later date, they donated food for another chamber networking meeting off premises which was for an even larger group as we were beginning to grow.
We are so fortunate to have very generous, caring family in our hamlet, who repeatedly goes out of their way to support our chamber and community events. This has led us to believe that they deserve the honor of Chamber Member of the Year for Mount Sinai Miller Place.
